Did you know that one marching band uniform costs nearly $500?

Marching band uniforms are sturdy and are meant to last through about 10 years of marching –

in the sun, rain, and snow.

The South Hagerstown High School Rebel Marching Band uniforms are now 12 years old.

Even though the band students take good care of them, our uniforms are wearing out.

The company that made the uniforms no longer makes the kind of uniform we have,

so we can't replace worn-out jackets and trousers, and we can't buy additional uniforms for

students who are especially small or especially large.

When the South High Rebel Band Boosters buys new uniforms, we will need to buy 160 new uniforms,

so that the band will have a range of sizes – more than one in typical sizes, one of each for especially

small and large sizes – enough to last for the next 10 years, at least.

This is a big project, and the SHHS Rebel Band Boosters have set up a Uniform Fund Drive

to get it done. The South Hagerstown High School Rebel Band Boosters, Inc., is a registered

501(c)(3) corporation, so all gifts to the Uniform Fund are 100% tax deductible.

The Rebel Band students will be grateful for every donation!

For gifts of $100 or more, the Band Boosters will have a label with the name of the donor sewn inside a

uniform, if the donor would like. Or the label can be a memorial to a loved one. Organizations and clubs

are invited to donate, and the label will acknowledge the organization.
